As a City parks volunteer and Park Ranger wanna-be, I frequently find myself doing the grunt work nobody else wants. This summer I've been assigned to Bear-Watch duty.
Bear Watch entails patience, observation and careful planning. By watching for the appropriate signs (out in front of Starbucks) I was able to predict the date and locations of three major bear migrations during Summer 2006: , Hairrison and Folsom.
7/30/2006. The Great Dore VAlley Migration of 2006 occured as predicated with a large turnout of local and migratory bear specimen. Many hours were spent tagging animals for future study as well as many hours post-migration cataloging the voluminous tagging data.
